About Us! - Virgil & Paulette Kelly
In October 2023, as a gift for a friend, Paulette and Virgil made a short advertisement for a local cosmologist showcasing Halloween themed fingernail painting. Those that saw the advertisement were impressed and many were encouraging that we should do more.
In November 2023, Virgil obtained his FAA Part 107 drone pilot license. He acquired a DJI Mavic 3 Pro with Hasselblad camera in June 2024.
In July 2024, VP Digital Media created an Advertisement for the Grand Opening of Country Roads Beer Co. In August, we made an advertisement for the Williamsburg Back Home Festival. The reviews by those that saw them were very encouraging.
Virgil has been a musician for 50 years. He has played 10 different types of instruments professionally on stage in clubs and theaters in WV such as Carnegie Hall and the Greenbrier Valley Theatre, as well as CBGB’s in NYC, The 9:30 Club and The Kennedy Center in D.C., and a myriad of other venues dotted across the Mid-Atlantic area. He also worked as a Sound Designer and Engineer, and Lighting Tech at Greenbrier Valley Theatre.
He has played in dozens of rock, country and jazz groups, and has performed in theatre musicals. Most of the time he was doubling as sound tech and many times recording tech.
An aviation enthusiast all of his life, as a young man, Virgil built and flew model airplanes, moved up to the real thing and earned his Private Pilot’s License in 2009. He has owned a Cessna 150 and an Ultralight.
Virgil has been an electrician for over 40 years, and a Master Electrician for 25 years. He was an Electrical Contractor for 15 years and an Electrical Inspector for two. He retired from that business and worked as an Electronics Technician for over 3 years.
Virgil wears many hats in VP Digital Media. Drone Pilot, Sound Designer and Engineer, Editor, Photographer, Videographer, and more. He is eager to use his skills to make your media experience as best as possible, with a reputation for going above and beyond.
Virgil met Paulette when she called him for an electrical inspection. He failed it. She didn’t have power for a month before a contractor could repair it and she didn’t count it against him! A year later they went on their first date. They were married in 2021 after dating for two years. Virgil particularly enjoys being the grandfather of six in the ready-made loving family that he married into.
Paulette has a keen sense for aesthetics and a great eye for framing a shot. Like Virgil, she has a varied skillset from working as a waitress, restaurant host, construction clean-up, Certified Nurses Assistant, and most importantly, a homemaker, mother and grandmother. She is the Spotter in the Drone Crew, Front-of-House Sound Tech, Photographer, Editor, Public Relations, and excellent brain-stormer with her creativity and contagious exuberance.
